“The Son” On AMC Looking for Hispanic Babies

Casting Call for Hispanic Babies for AMC Series in Austin

The upcoming AMC series “The Son” is set to begin filming in Austin, Texas and casting directors are looking for Hispanic babies for an extra role. The baby will be portraying the child of one of the characters on the show. The series is expected to start filming June 20, 2016. They will only be filming Monday through Fridays. The show is expected to begin filming through October 2016.

About “The Son”

The Son will follow two concurrent time periods: One, the story of young Eli McCullough after he is kidnapped and indoctrinated into a tribe of Comanches in 1849. The other, 60 years later, when we see a grown Eli struggle to maintain his family’s cattle empire during the turbulent Bandit Wars of South Texas. The Son is based on the acclaimed Philipp Meyer novel that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2014. [AMC]  “The Son” will star James Bond himself, Pierce Brosnan. 

What They Are Looking For

Casting directors are looking for a single baby or twins or triplets, age range 6 months – 12 months in age, Hispanic ethnicity, Male or Female to portray the child of one of the characters on the show. This is a background extra role.

Babies: 6 months – 12 months old

Filming Dates: TBD

Filming Hours: Hours will depend on age of baby according to SAG rules.

Filming in Austin and Surrounding Areas (Dripping Springs, Hamilton Pool, Blanco)

Pay Rate: TBD (the role will be paid)
