Ravenswood – ABC Family
ABC Family has a monster hit on their hands with the critically acclaimed Pretty Little Liars and now a spin-off series has been ordered to pair with the networks highest rated program. Ravenswood is set to begin production shortly and casting calls for the series are being organized now. This could be an amazing opportunity for aspiring performers of all ages to audition for a role in a long awaited Pretty Little Liars spin-off.
Ravenswood will be set in the town of Ravenswood, Pennsylvania, right next door to Pretty Little Liars’ Rosewood. The series will tell the tale of five strangers forced to band together after they are struck by a fatal curse that has plagued the town for generations. The group must search through Ravenswood’s mysterious and disturbing history to find a way to stop the curse and save themselves and the people they love. This exciting new series will be produced by Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Joseph Dougherty and Leslie Morgenstein, the fabulously talented creative team behind PPL, Ugly Betty and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. When I just 9 months old I was adopted. I was around people I barley knew so I was not good with getting to know people and that is what made me a shy person. So I thought about trying something that wouldn’t make me such a shy person. I have tried singing but sometimes my voice isn’t that great. So I tried something new, something new to me. I started acting in school plays when I was just in 2nd grade(Meramec Elementary School). I’m not gonna lie it was hard…you know the costumes, remembering your lines, and doing all that work in front of hundreds of people. I had no idea what I was doing and I was scared that I would mess everything up but I wasn’t the only one. that’s when I knew it was okay to make mistakes. From 3rd to 5th grade I did plays such as ally cats, willy wonka and the chocolate factory, peter pan, and jack and the bean stalk. During middle school (Wydown Middle School) it was hard to get into a play, their were some really talented kids but guess what…I turned out to be one of them. The play I auditioned for was “Once on this island” then I was also did “Disaster” and “Shrek the musical” in 7th and 8th grade. I made a lot friends and became close to people I didn’t even think I would become friends with. Pretty Little Liars instantly became a weekly routine I would do homework, watch PLL, and THEN eat. The moment that made me wanna really become an actor is when Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) came out to her parents. Recently I came out to my friends and they were so supportive but they tried to encourage me to tell my mom but im afraid of her reaction but it’s gonna happen someday. I didn’t matter if it was Disney Channel ,Nicklodeon, ABC Family, or a reality t.v show I wanted to be on it. Ravenswood would not only help me but my family. My grandmother has been trying to take care of her mother but its too much and she tries to take care of herself also. I do not want to be that teenager that WANTS to be in Ravenswood because I get money to buy Jordans, Nikes, and KD’s. Im the teenager that NEEDS this to take care of my family and save money for a car and college and future houses or apartments. If I get to audition and if I win the audition I promise you 200% I will work so hard. Trust me I know I sound desperate so ill try to work on that. I haven’t had much acting experience, but when i was round the ages of 8-13 I was in a little drama group , which was called Man in the moon a.k.a MIM. With this organisation I did a few plays which were performed in front of a small audience. I have always been in one of my secondary school plays which was a musical.

first. i feel i can honestly say i am a ravenwoods and pLL number one fan, during high school they were plastered on my binder!!
so for years i have been stuck between a plan and a dream. both which drive my parents insane. the plan was for me to join the marine core straight out of high school, and that sounds amazing to me, but my dream is to act. of-course to them this isn’t realistic, but when you want something this bad, i don’t see how it cant be real. i have made them a deal. i have a short amount of time to work my butt off and find a gig somewhere in something to prove my determination, and then i will enlist. even tho i am in love with the marine core, i cant sleep at night knowing that my dream is waiting for me, i cannot just abandon it without even trying. so i would love to be given a shot at this. i am currently enrolled in acting classes and was also featured on “the talk”. thanks for taking the time to read.
