ChristineI am fortunate to have a very close family. My dream is to have a vacation house down the shore for our family to be able to congregate to. We are family of nine (all grown now with one brother who passed). My mother who passed away almost 2 years ago brought us up on her own since my father passed when we were very little. She always taught us to watch after each other and our families. Having a place at the shore would bring back such wonderful family memories which I would love to carry on for generations to come. I think my Mom would have loved that. I feel family time today is almost a thing of the past. Having a place to get together and share precious memories is priceless. I am in a place right now in my life where I never dreamed I would be, divorced, on disability and living month to month financially. I know there are soo many people out there who are worse off than me. Right now my wish would be repairs on my home. It’s a nice house but soo many things are going wrong, I don’t have any money to fix things. I sell crafts and make crocheted items just to make it from month to month. Some of the things I need fixed are that I haven’t had any cold water in my bathroom sink for over a year. My garage door is broken so the cold air gets in during the winter, because it’s connected to the house. There is more, but I don’t want to leave a long letter. I am a good Christian woman I teach adult Sunday school at my church and I volunteer for our local college literacy program to help people get their High School Education. My point is I don’t want you to think just because I am disabled I just sit and don’t do anything, I try to help others and much as I can. He lived at home with both of his parents and didn’t have much of a social life beside his family members. When we took Hiram we decided to make his life as full and happy as we possible can. Lindsay ZThis sounds like a dream already seeing the casting calls for something so amazing like this to happen. I was working full time for two companies when I broke my foot at work from being on my feet all day. The day I got crutches, I fell down my whole flight of stairs at home and broke my shoulder in two places, along with more fractures in my foot. I was put on short term disability through my job and while I was on that, both of my employers went out of business leaving me jobless, broke, and injured. The stress from losing my jobs caused sever pancreatitis and horrible stomach ulcers. Here we are two years later still unemployed, and still in pain. I am 33 years old and live with my parents. My father is the bread winner, my mom has had two open heart surgeries and a stroke and needs someone to care for her. This is my obligation to help my mother. After all she brought me into this world, and I would not have anyone else do it. My brothers fiancé passed away and left him with a two year old little girl, who I have been raising as my own for 11 years now. I had to drop out of college to help my family. I have absolutely no form of income, yes that bothers me, but taking care of my family is my number one priority in this life. I’m greatful that I even have a family. So with that being said, I have never been married and no biological children, but I have wanted nothing more in this life than to be some what productive with my life. To have my own place, and to have money to help take care of myself and loved ones. I know everything happens for a reason, but my dream would be to clear all of my debt and parents debt. And have a house of my own. I just wouldn’t know what to do with myself if that really happened to me.
