I struggled throughout my childhood trying to figure out, as society would put it, if I was black or white. Classmates from Elementary School on up to High School would jokingly call me albino. Many would also say I wasn’t black. Or that I wasn’t white. I struggled for a very long time trying to find my identity of who I was and finally, at 23 years of age, I have found I am me. That I am not defined by the color of my skin but by my character of which I pocess. A lot of Tyler Perry’s Plays I can relate to on a personal, spiritual, and relatable level.
