I’m a huge fan of Kevin Costner, and went out to Iowa to see his field of dreams. “If you build it they will com.”, goes the line, and come we did, in droves. If I build it, will you come? By the way, when I went out there to see the field of dreams I didn’t get to meet the great Kevin Costner, which was disappointing. I only got to meet that redhead from thirty-something who was actually kind of uppity, nebbish, and unfriendly. I know all about the sacrifices and hard work that it takes to make it into the talks of becoming drafted. I personally experienced some of the worst parts of busting my butt to make it to the NFL, I tore my MCL in my final college game. This led to me not being invited to the combine and not being able to participate in full preparation for my schools pro day. With all of that said, I still posted great results that would have ranked me among the top performers in the running back position. My children).The reason I want to be in this movie: I, along with my husband, try to teach our children about life and the importance of being true to yourself and the ones you love, and that love you. A conversation that took place a few months ago was one between my two oldest kids, ages 8 & 7, about being passionate about your life and to go for what you dream of no matter what. They asked me what my dream was growing up. Until then, I’d forgotten as we so often do after life starts with kids. The one thing I wanted to do, and I knew I would be good at was being in a movie. They then asked why I didn’t ever do it… I simply said that I wanted them more and it wouldn’t be possible for me to live the movie dream after having kids. But! There is always a BUT, right?
