Showtime has put out a casting call for kids to apply to! The network is filming their brand new series “The Chi” and they are in need of child models and actors. The TV show revolves around characters in the South Side of Chicago, where it is also being filmed. Casting directors are searching for boys and girls 1 to 8 years old. This shoot is for the second episode. Filming will be in Chicago between June 14th and June 23rd. Shooting will not take place on the weekends. Selected kids will work for one day between that time frame. There are two scenes that are filming, a daycare and playground scene. Pay for those chosen is $150.00 for 8 hours of filming. About The Chi

The Chi is a relevant, timely and distinctive coming-of-age story and follows a half dozen interrelated characters in the South Side of Chicago. Jason Mitchell will play Brandon, an ambitious and confident young man who dreams about opening a restaurant of his own someday, but is conflicted between the promise of a new life and his responsibility to his mother and teenage brother back in the South Side. What They Are Looking For

Looking for kids who can play the following:

DAYCARE KIDS:
We are looking for KIDS with current work permits to play daycare kids.
Female/Male, Age Range: 1 – 5 years old, African American or Hispanic

PLAYGROUND KIDS:
We are looking for KIDS with current work permits to play Playground kids.
Female/Male, Age Range: 6 -8 years old, African American or Hispanic

How to Apply

Please put in the role(s) you are submitting for in the subject line i.e. Daycare Kids or Playground Kids

In the submission email include your child’s: name, age range, height, weight, clothing sizes, city and zip, phone and email and give us the name of the guardian who would be on-set

Attach close-up candid photo AND a full body in JPEG format. Make sure the photo is taken in decent lighting (no selfies), no sunglasses against a neutral background.
*NOTE: Rename the title of your photos with your Full Name. You should do this with all your submission photos

Please confirm your mode of transportation. i.e., Uber, Taxi, CTA, Vehicle

Give us the name of the employer listed on your work permit and send us a scanned copy of your child’s current work permit.

Confirm you have open availability during the filming dates.
